Mike Pichay is a first generation Filipino-American born and raised in the Tongva territories commonly known as Los Angeles, California. Mike is an advisor, instructor, facilitator and advocate for underrepresented youth and holds over ten years experience serving communities of color in the education system throughout California, Boston, New York City and now Portland. Mike currently works at the Portland Community College Southeast campus located in the Jade District for the Future Connect program, which supports low-income and first- generation college students, many of whom are API immigrants and refugees. In addition, Mike serves on the APANO Board of Directors and holds an Associate of Science from El Camino Community College; Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley; and Masters in Education from Harvard University.
