![]() Manumalo “Malo” Ala’ilima is Samoan American and is a recent transplant to Oregon via the San Francisco Bay in Northern California. Malo is the newest member of the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon’s (APANO) Health Forum Subcommittee. She is also involved with Asian Pacific Islander (API) Pride that focuses on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) demographic within the API community. She is also an active member of Brown Brunch, which provides a safe space and network of LGBTQ people of color to interact and assist one another. Malo was educated in Los Angeles, California at the University of Southern California and majored in Political Science with an emphasis on Public Policy and Management and has worked for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services for over a decade in various departments and regions. Malo currently works in Quality Assurance for the Western Division of the American Red Cross in Portland. |
